Some animals are fine to roam the property; however, some aren't. When Jim was working on the windows, he discovered that wasps had built a nest in the peak of the house on the west wall by the auto bay. They can't get into the house but still. He used his wasp spray out the window and hit the nest first time.
The foamy aftermath. Hopefully this will kill the wasps.
Jim put the first coat of polyurethane on the second bedroom cantilever window this morning...
His next task was to sand the actual window frame of the cantilever window in the master bedroom...
Then he carefully stained it...
It looks so beautiful!
Jim put up the final trim board on the back of the carriage house...
After that, it was time to do all the touch-up painting...
How amazing does this look?
Jim replaced one shingle underneath the venting pipes on the back wall so the primer was not quite dry enough to paint the gray over the top. But other than that, everything is painted back here as well. In fact, Jim took the first section of scaffolding down!
After cleaning up from painting, Jim took the Bobcat and smoothed out the driveway a bit. The new surface is working out so well.
At the end of the day, he was able to put the second coat of polyurethane on the window...
High 69/Low 42 - beautiful! |
