Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July! Today was our warmest day of the year - got into the upper 80s.
We started our day watching 4 young fox playing around our gravel piles. This is a terrible picture through the window but they were so fun to watch chasing each other around.
Jim continued working on soffit pieces - here's a bunch of cut pieces...
It really looks nice once they are installed!
He had to put flashing on this area first...
Then he was able to get the rest of the soffit and end piece in place...
He had to design an end cap...
Trying it out...
He ended up remaking the end pieces but they look really nice...
He brought up the steel table frame - this is how the underside of the table will look!
At the end of the day, we decided to do a little metal detecting work in the woods...
We found quite a few more nails and a piece of old pipe that was underneath a giant tree root, so it had been there a long time. But sadly no more buttons.
However, it is absolutely gorgeous in the woods looking up at this giant trees!
