7.12.2019

Jim spent a good portion of his day doing project management work.  After the issue with the Corian order, he contacted another dealer to get a quote for comparison.  Then he went back and forth with the original dealer.  There are so many variables - most to do with shipping such a big item.  He ended up getting a good deal by ordering two sheets from the original dealer - they will get them in half for him to save even more on shipping.  So they are reordered, in stock and should be here next week!

He also took a trip into Home Depot to talk to the pro department about getting a quote for the pole barn garage door.  They are only in the store until 4:30 so it's never a real convenient time but needed to be done.  They are sending Jim the quote and hopefully we can get that ordered as well.

In between lots of phone calls and trips, Jim made a temporary table top.  He rounded over a piece of plywood and brought it up...

He fastened it down with a couple of crown staples...

A tablecloth on top just to make sure we don't get any splinters and we're good to go!  (Table is complete with fresh pasta drying!)

He also continued putting up the flashing on the pole barn soffit...

Jim did some grass cutting to finish off the end of the work day.  Unfortunately, he was cutting the upper grass near where we have the big logs stored from the tree cutting and hit a rock that was hidden in the taller grass.  It appears to have caused a spring on the deck to break.  Our Tiger Cub mower is over 20 years old but has been an amazing machine but parts are definitely getting old in general.  Jim will do some searching to find a new spring and hopefully get it back in operation.  Always something!
High 79/Low 59 - nice!
