The Corian delivery was scheduled today but with a wide time range. Jim always asks the delivery people to call so he can be ready at the end of the driveway, but that usually doesn't happen. He got the forks on the Bobcat and was in wait mode.
Jim continued organizing and moving things out of the auto bay today. He spent some time organizing cabinet door hardware (thanks, Mom, for the cool organizer!).
Thank goodness Jim had the manufacturer cut the sheets in half - it would have been impossible otherwise!
Since it was such a long heavy pallet, Jim strapped it down to the forks just for added assurance that nothing would happen on the ride up the hill.
We are missing the box that had the glue gun in it - you can clearly see where they had glued it on top of the box. The driver checked and he didn't have it. We made phone calls later to both the manufacturer and FedEx. The manufacturer said he would have a new one shipped out right away.
Drumroll....so excited to see what it looks like!
Even the back is pretty!
But the front side is gorgeous! We picked this color from a tiny sample on the wall at Home Depot and looking at it online - you really don't have a good feel for how a whole sheet will look. It's prettier than I had even imagined!
We carried it in and set it up against the wall in the wood shop...
All four pieces inside now.
Checking out how it will look against the cabinet color - perfect!
Jim put two of the half sheets on the workbench just to see how they looked - gorgeous!!
