Jim took apart the door jamb assembly today and sanded all the edges, rounding over the outside edges.
Then he put a coat of primer on...
All done and drying...
Jim turned his attention next to working on the air compressor line. He connected the line in the auto bay down to the regulator manifold, doing his same careful clamping of the line to the wall.
Back up in the wood shop, he cut the hose line and fit it into the elbow.
He put an air nozzle on the end of the coil hose and tried it out by squirting air at me - ha!
However, there were a couple small leaks at the plumbing. Again he bought stainless steel plumbing and again it's giving him problems. He tightened up one joint and broke the threads. (He's too strong apparently!). So that project is now on hold until he can order more parts - probably brass this time!
Although it was a bit of a rainy morning, time to think ahead to spring and outside jobs. He put the battery for the chipper on the charger to get that ready, but that battery is shot so we'll have to get another one. At the end of the day, he headed outside to rake a bit more gravel out of the grass. He figures if he does a bit every day, he'll have it done in short order.
