4.12.2019

We've seen this fox on the property a few times now.  He's very pretty - red with black legs.  We were finally able to get a picture of him out the kitchen window when he was closer to the carriage house.

Jim worked this morning on coming up with the design for the window frames for the casement windows in the carriage house.  Once he figured out how he wanted to do them, he started making one...

All of the pieces cut...

These frames require that two-step hole - the hole goes the entire width of the board so it has to be very precise and straight.  He was able to use his drill press on them now...

Time for finishing work - using the palm sander...

A little hand sanding as well...

Then he assembled it and started staining...

Wow - from design to stained in a short amount of time!  Now that Jim knows how he wants to do these, we'll get more wood when we make our trip back to the lumberyard probably next week.

At the end of the day, he continued doing some work in the yard, clearing out undergrowth and working on the gravel.  Things are looking so nice!
