6.11.2017

Jim worked on plumbing for a bit again this morning - replacing a couple more valve connections using the new Teflon tape.  He's really disappointed with the pipe compound he bought - it was expensive and supposed to work better with stainless steel but he hasn't been happy.  The tape seems to be working much better.

But most of his time this morning was getting things ready to move the bandsaw into the wood shop.  Jim had talked to a guy who does some maintenance work around the apartment and he said he would help Jim move it.  They had arranged for Jim to call him this afternoon.  Jim had to move the Bobcat and 4Runner out of the garage space, get everything cleaned up around the bandsaw, and then go up into the wood shop and make space for it.  He got all that done and called Ron.  Who then didn't respond.  So frustrating!  He finally got back with Jim later in the afternoon and said he got caught up painting another apartment somewhere.  So hopefully next weekend.

Jim then finished up the last steel on the overhang!

He already had the trim board cut for the kitchen vent so once he found the spot where he wanted the vent to go and double-checked the fit of the trim board, he predrilled it for easier installation.

Trim board all installed...

Back to putting up shingles...

End-of-the-day picture...  I had to leave to get cleaned up for church and Jim wasn't far behind me.  He got the end pieces cut for these rows so this side is getting close to being done.  He can only go up as far as close to the peak and then he'll have to work on bringing the other side up to match.
