On the bright side, for a rainy day Jim got a lot done at the property! While it was still dry inside the shop (and very dry on the side where it's now waterproofed!), Jim made about 45 feet more of drip edge. Then he cut and installed the end angle piece on the front. He was thrilled because with all the different rafters in this section (end, main and valley) - the tails were all perfectly aligned.
In the afternoon, Jim started working on getting the septic system ready for winter. We needed to get everything done and covered so that it the ground didn't freeze around the tank and cause any issues. He used the dirt that he scraped off the driveway before we got gravel in addition to another pile he had to start covering it up.
He brought up more sand and got the pipes covered up...
A good use of our leftover ICF material...insulation for the pipes!
Bringing the electric line up and out of the ground for use down the road...
The final product - everything is all covered and graded. Good to know it's ready for winter now.
Plus, Jim got a call today from a guy who wants the pool table. While we don't have cash in hand yet, it seems like it's going to sell. That will be a big relief because we would just need to store in for some time in the future when it could go in the house, so we're hopeful that it will sell.
