Happy Veteran's Day!

It started raining last night and kept on until about noon - kind of depressing.  So Jim had to deal with Lake Angel inside again.  But he was able to make some drip edge for the edge of the roof, so that was good.

After lunch, we were able to get on the roof to work on sheathing.  Little scary though because everything was still wet - shoes, scaffolding, the roof itself.  Putting another piece up...

...and getting it into place.

Now that the first two courses are in place, it becomes even more challenging to get the sheathing up on the roof.  It's obviously higher so lifting it up and out the rafters was tough.

But Jim got it in place...

...and then he slid it down to where he wanted it to go.

Fastening the piece down.  At this point, the first course is totally fastened, but the remaining sheets have enough screws to hold it.  Jim will have to go back and finish the rest of the screws.

Putting the next piece in place...

Time to get more sheathing up on the deck...

The next course will be a little shorter in width so that Jim can get the right widths he wants all the way to the top.  So he cut off about 10" on this course.

Jim already had a piece of sheathing up on the scaffolding, so he got that in place and fastened.

Then it was time for the piece he cut...

Standing up on the ridge beam!

This is where we ended up at the end of the day.  It started getting too dark to put any more up, so Jim worked awhile on putting the rest of the screws in some of the sheets.

When it was pitch dark, we cleaned up and I headed home.  Jim stayed and made some more drip edge - he should have enough now to do the back side.  So, not bad for just a half days work!
