When Jim was mowing yesterday, he discovered a giant hornet's nest in one of our fir trees in the triangle. He went out after dark and sprayed it...
Jim sprayed the nest again today - you can see how big it is a little better in the daylight...
Jim bought a new metal shear and was trying it out today - works great!
Jim still has a couple loose ends to take care of on the pavilion roof, like just a couple more rivets. Unfortunately, he ran out of the right size, so they are ordered and should come in soon. He was able to take down the scaffolding he was using as a workbench...
Sorting through the planks, he stored the ones he wants to keep up in the rafters; the others we are going to get rid of...
Cutting up some of the old planks...
The pavilion is looking much cleaner!
Jim wants to start filling the trash can with some of this old wood to get rid of it, so more sorting...
A bucketful of old wood and cutting up some more...
Jim took the Bobcat down and dumped the wood behind the trash cans. We'll fill it up from there!
