Yikes - hard to believe it's August, although the temperatures continue to remind us that it's summer.  We had a bit of a storm yesterday afternoon and lost our internet until after midnight, so no blog update.  It was an on/off light rain day, so we made it an indoor day.  Jim worked in the shop on his saw, planing wood to make the fence for the saw...

He also worked a while in the pole barn, rearranging.  He wants to set up his brake out here where he can clamp it down so that it's more sturdy...

He finished his steel bracket for the brake and got it attached...

This morning, he finished the fence/table for the saw...

Attached it to the table and ran it for the first time!

Then it was back on the roof, working on finishing up the Z-flashing...

Once all the Z-flashing was in place, he put some caulk down in certain areas, just to fill in spots that bugs may get in...

Sliding up the hip trim...

Next, was making all the complicated bottom Z-flashing...

All done and sliding the trim back in place!

Time to get ready to do the last hip trim work.  He started by bending the trim to the right angle...

Then he had to rearrange scaffolding a bit and marked the trim location on the roof so that he'll be ready for the Z-flashing.

After doing all the clean up, he had to do some grass cutting to finish out the day.
