It was forecast to be a drizzly day, so Jim worked inside. Now that the hip rafters are in good shape, the next ones to work on are the half rafters. Jim said they are a design overkill, but I told him I wouldn't expect anything less from him! The nice thing is that they are small enough that he can do some of the work inside. Doing some measurements...
This wood is still green - some of it more than others. Jim accidentally left a small piece of wood on his bandsaw table and that, along with sawdust, rusted his table!
So he had to do some cleanup...
One half rafter done - it was a lot of handwork to make the complex angle...

Before getting on the treadmill, Jim spent time in the control room studying up on his next furnace maintenance project.
