Jim worked on making a sample of the connection between the rafters and the purlins, the next pavilion job...
It's going to look great!
But this is what he will have to carve on both the rafters and the purlins - and there are a lot of these connections!
Out at the pavilion, Jim finished beveling the hip rafter in the back...
Wow - look at this top connection where everything comes together. It's picture perfect!
Jim started measuring for all the purlin cuts...
There were a few sprinkles and we took all the tools and Mom inside. Then it stopped and Jim went back to measuring...
Then it rained agin for a bit, so Jim called it a day. He went and got diesel fuel for the machines and came home and replaced a gasket on the furnace.
