Now that the water pump is out of the car, Jim is working on cleaning up parts and getting ready for the new ones. This is the exhaust manifold that connects to the engine - he did a great job cleaning it up; here he's retapping the screws. He looked into replacing this part - to get a genuine Suzuki replacement, it's over $3600!
He also continued working on the purlins in the wood shop - cutting the notches...
He's developed a good technique and is able to cut the sides and chisel a good part of the middle out...
Jim knocked off a little early to go to Lowe's for water softener salt and to get gas and diesel fuel. One of his boxes of car parts was in the drop box when he got home, but there's more boxes on the way!
