Jim had computer work this morning, but he started working on the rafter cuts for the purlins. He first uses his saw to just make a few one inch cuts...
Then he chisels out the rest. They have to be beveled so the least amount is taken from the rafters, so not to disrupt their strength.
He used his purlin sample to test - this is going to look amazing! He got five cuts made this afternoon.
He had to stop a bit early to get things ready for our septic system pumping tomorrow. They are supposed to come in the afternoon, but just in case, Jim wanted to loosen the tops so that all his work is done and ready.
