It was so fun having our Sunday morning breakfast sitting at our banquette with Jim and I sitting on our bench!
Jim was convinced he had the plumbing adaptor he needed for the dishwasher hookup - and he found it this morning! Saved a trip to Lowe's as well as the cost. So then he started hooking it up...
Unfortunately, there were a few snafus. This dishwasher connected to the cabinet differently than the other one. Our other one just used a screw to hold the sides in place - this one required brackets. Of course, for the right stability, you needed the brackets attaching to underneath the counter too and they only gave you one set. Jim used the brackets off the old dishwasher to connect to the top but when he was done, he still wasn't happy.
So he disconnected everything and pulled the dishwasher back out. He made a piece of wood blocking to attach to the other side of the dishwasher so that the bracket would attach to that...
All installed and running a quick test cycle!
Everything is working well, so the final installation of the bottom plate is hopefully the end of this job!
