Jim opened up the foam today for one of the bench seats...

As soon as the shrink-wrap was cut, the foam exploded out!

We of course had to bring it upstairs and try it out!

Mom tried sitting on it...

Trying out the thinner foam for the back cushion...

Once we were done trying it out, Jim took the back piece back down into the shop...

He bought some very heavy duty Velco that he attached to the back frames to hold everything firm.

Sanding the back deck...

Jim attached Velcro to the back of the deck - however, this Velco is so tough that it's almost impossible to break the seal!  He ended up cutting some of the middle portion from the deck so that it would be easier to come apart.

He brought the seat back up after making attachment holes...

Fastening the seat back to the wall...

Again, a perfect fit snug against the wall...

He brought up the deck...

Wow - looks so good even like this!  Jim and I sat together on this side to try it out - I told him it felt like date night!

Jim built the steel structure for the table years ago - long before the design of the bench seats.  He may want to make a slight modification to the front, so he's taking some measurements to start figuring that out.

Jim ordered a new right angle drill that is much smaller in profile than his other one and will make installation of the other bench easier.  You can see how much smaller the head is than a regular drill...
