Such an exciting day - time to install the first bench seat! Jim had to first double check that all the blocking inside the wall was where he anticipated - marking some lines on the wall...
Putting a small nail hole just to check...
Jim wrapped up the bench and attached it to the two-wheeler and started bringing it upstairs...
Not real easy - there's a big piece of steel sticking out that could do some serious wall damage, plus it's heavy!
Up the stairs and into the house...
Jim had towels on the floor ready to go so that the floor wouldn't get scratched...
Then sliding it into place...
Wow - looks amazing already!
Jim had to be a contortionist to get inside the frame and start attaching the base onto the floor...
The glides continue to be an issue because Jim had a hard time drilling the holes - he had to get out his right angle drill...
He got it all attached!
Next is attaching the frame to the wall blocking...
He's amazing - he even cleans up all the sawdust!
Next, he brought up the seat frame...
And the plywood deck...
Then we all had to try it out!
Mom taking her turn...
Bringing up the seat back...
He didn't attach the seat back yet but it looks so good and it's nice for him to have all this out of the shop too!
I got to try it out with the back on!
Jim also got all the receptacle covers back on the wall - so pretty!
The door latch he ordered for the lean to man door came in, so he got that installed too...
