Jim put another coat of polyurethane on the drawer pieces - they sure look nice!

Time to change the fuel filter.  While the Bobcat people told Jim that this was the replacement part, it was bigger than the original one, so Jim wasn't sure if he could get it to fit.

But he finally got it to fit.  It took awhile to bleed all of the air out but he got that done too.

Jim has been wanting to get the package box sitting straight until he can repair it.  So we went down and Jim started taking it apart...

Jim had never intended to take this apart, so some things were challenging...

Taking the bottom out...

Truly amazing the damage that the impact did - yet, the steel frame is intact...

We took it off the post and Jim brought some gravel down to flatten out an area...

With the box off, you can see how the steel rebar just totally bent...

It's a good thing this isn't a video blog, because the next steps were pretty ugly.  The box was now sitting on the ground and we had to lift it up and set it on the saw horses.  This is obviously a heavy box - I have no problem lifting it if it's already elevated, but picking it up from the ground was too much for me.  Jim eventually had me lift from front and he did most of the heavy lifting.   I am ready and willing but only barely vaguely competent!

With the extra gravel in the bucket, Jim did some repair work and filled in the area in front of the mailbox..

He brought over some soil/sand from the side of the wall...

A little flattening and it looks much better!

Time to reassemble the box...

Unfortunately, there was some unseen damage to this side of the frame.  The steel was bent slightly so the door wouldn't fit back on.  Jim brought some clamps down and was able to get the screws put back in place...

While the entire look isn't as beautiful as it was, it's more usable now...
