Jim assembled the drawers this morning - how beautiful is this?
Look at those perfect dovetail joints - gorgeous!
Both drawers are assembled - these are by far the biggest drawers Jim has ever made!
He got the glides attached to the frame for one of the drawers. These glides are not as nice as the ones he's bought before, but size is an issue. These don't come apart so that leads to possible alignment issues. But first step done!
Jim ordered our custom foam last night for the seat cushions and back! He just ordered enough supplies for one bench so we can see how it all goes. Then we were deciding on fabric - we've pretty much decided on the middle one below...
Another beautiful day so we headed down to the bottom of the driveway to start chipping our collected piles. Jim disconnects the battery after each use to try and extend its life, so he is hooking it back up and getting ready to go...
It started up without jumping the battery this time, so we were able to get busy...
Using the chainsaw to cut this big branch down a bit...
This area is all cleaned up!
Next, we moved into the woods a bit into the area where there were 3 fallen trees that we cut up last fall. We got all these branches cleaned up...
A sure sign of spring - Mom and I ran into town to get gas for the chipper after lunch and we saw some little goslings...
We ended the day with an early Mother's Day celebration at our favorite spot, The Local. We all enjoyed a great meal!
