10.5.2022

Jim got to his hotel halfway home late last night.  After a much needed, although short, night's sleep, he hit the road again in the morning to head home - hopefully beating the transport driver home as planned.  It is SO good to have him home again!

He got back to Angel about 2:00, ate lunch, and then unpacked his tools from the 4Runner and got things put away.  The driver called and said he would be here around 6:00.  He was supposed to call 20 minutes before so that Jim could be ready at the end of the driveway, but it didn't work that way - he called when he arrived here.  We headed down to check it out...

The driver got it off the back of the truck and then Jim tied his strap on to the front bumper...

The driver steered the Z while Jim started backing up the driveway...

Jim just pulled it up in the driveway...

Success!  It was a crazy couple of days but it's here!

The driver told Jim that he had to pick up one of his vehicles from a car auction site.  Apparently, everyone thought the Z was being dropped off and they all came out and were excitedly taking pictures of it!  He said everywhere he stopped, people were looking at it.  It looks remarkably well after living in a chicken coop for so long - we're so glad it's back home!
