6.18.2021

Now that the front countertop is done, Jim turned his attention to the piece of Corian that will go on top of the beverage cooler for additional space.

Bringing up the piece allowed us to have a discussion what we wanted it to look like and how best to achieve that!

Then Jim started cutting edge pieces...

Another project bubbling up on Jim's to-do list is finishing the stairs in the stairwell.  We just want a durable finish so Jim is going to stain and then polyurethane them.  But first, he is routing a bevel on the front of each step for a nice finish as well as taking away those sharp edges that have a tendency to chip...

As you can imagine, this made a ton of wood chips and sawdust all over the stairwell.  First I used the broom and then Jim vacuumed...

That step is all done and they look really nice!

Jim has accumulated 3 giant bags of man glitter (sawdust) from all the cabinetmaking - he contacted the guy who uses it and he wanted to pick it up today so Jim hauled it down to the end of the driveway...

With his remaining time in the work day, he continued to work on plastering...
