Jim worked on modifying my towel rack this morning. He cut each of the arms - the little caps on the end are copper and were soldered onto the ends. Jim heated the tips up and was able to get them off and reattach them to the shortened ends - genius! Looks fabulous - he'll install it tomorrow.
Jim sanded the bottom of the edges of the countertop this morning...
Then he started doing the round over cut on the bottom edge...
A closer look at the design...
Time to work on sink placement!
Lots and lots of measurements...
Lots of transferred markings onto the underside of the counter. Jim had to work around the tilt out drawer underneath the counter to make sure it didn't interfere with the placement of the sink.
Straight corners are prime stress points, so Jim wanted rounded corners when he started cutting out the sink space. Using his hole saw, he cut a hole in each corner...
All done!
Then he used his circular saw to cut in between the holes...
Last side...
The middle is all cut out!
Jim spends a lot of his time cleaning up plastic shavings!
Sink is now in place waiting for the gluing portion...
A sneak peak from underneath - gorgeous!
