Jim rounded over the finger pull on the front of the refuse cabinet today and then sanded the panel...
The next big step was to figure out how to attach the front panel to the pull out trash can glide hardware. But he got it and it fits perfectly!
This is going to be so nice! The area at the top is still in the design phases - I wanted a paper towel roll in this area so Jim is working on it! (best husband ever!)
A coat of primer over the door front...
He cut the toe board area out of the cabinet side pieces today...
Because of the maple fronts and backs to these side pieces, Jim needs to do some of the millwork by hand. He has it all set up to guide the router along...
In the metal shop, Jim wanted to get the final cracks filled in. There were just two areas that were inaccessible because of our big collection of boxes that used to live here. Jim had to first scrape and vacuum all the dirt out of the cracks and then put in the backing rod...
Last steps - tape up the sides of the crack, fill it in with the special caulk, smooth it down and pull off the tape...
