12.1.2019

Wow - the Thanksgiving weekend is over and we're in December and thinking about Christmas!  So the Advent wreath went on the table today...

And we are in the midst of a snowstorm to make it feel like Christmas.  It went from a pretty frost on the roof...

...to big flakes of snow.  The forecast is anything from 4" - 20" through Tuesday!  As I write this in the evening, we've gotten about 4" of light, fluffy snow so far.

However, word of the storm was out.  I needed eggs and ran into the little store in town this morning - the shelves were bare and the lines were long!

How wonderful that Jim can bring the Bobcat into the shop to do some maintenance before it has to earn its keep.  Greasing everything...

He made a set up for the bucket for now.

However, when he attached the snowblower to see how it would work, the chute still is not working correctly.  So that was very disappointing news.  Jim will have to bring it back into the shop and dig into it a bit more.

After the disappointing snowblower experience, Jim decided to work on putting the car dolleys underneath the Mini so he could arrange the shop for the winter.  The Mini has nice places to jack up the car on the sides, so Jim jacked up each well and slid the dolley underneath...

However, he's very disappointed with these dolleys as well.  They are supposed to make it easy to move the car around.  Jim had to use all his might to get it moved.  After waiting so long for these to come in, the quality isn't what was advertised.

But he eventually got the Mini perfectly tucked into this bay - it looks like it was made for the car!

For the first time ever, all the vehicles have an indoor parking spot!

Jim also was a wonderful husband and put up the Halloween and Thanksgiving tubs into the attic of the pole barn and brought down the Christmas ones!

He used the bucket on the Bobcat to plow the driveway before he came in (thank goodness for nice lights on the Bobcat!).  We're keeping our fingers crossed for the low end of the forecast snow prediction!

High 24/Low 23 -
winter storm warning!
