12.17.2019

Today was a snowy day - we were to get 3-6" today with another maybe 1-3" on the way tomorrow.  Since we didn't need to go out of the house, Jim decided to wait until it was all finished to plow the drive.  It definitely is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

That meant that Jim could spend his day working in the wood shop.  He got the drawer bottoms all trimmed...

Six drawer bottoms all done...

Putting contact cement on to finish the last two drawer bottoms with Formica...

Then he started putting a coat of primer on all the drawer fronts.  He had to be careful not to get any paint around the dovetails or rabbet cut for the drawer bottom - so that meant careful hand painting...

The back sides of all the drawer fronts are primed...

Once they were dry, Jim was able to turn them over and paint the front sides...

Prepping more wood - Jim took the wood piece that he glued yesterday and cut it into three strips for molding.  Putting pieces through the jointer...

Jim did a count of how much door molding he will need and then glued up some more wood!

High 26/Low 18 - snowy!
