Jim worked this morning on wiring up the switch in the attic. He also did more blocking in the kitchen until he ran out of wood.
He then switched his attention to the next big goal - finishing up the lights in the wood shop. This is something that has to be done before we can get the electric inspection. It takes work to get them ready to hang - Jim has to take the end apart, use his step bit to enlarge the hole, put in a box adapter and conduit coupler. However, as he was working on the lights he noticed they were slightly different inside - he had one left over from one of his first orders and the other is from the latest order. The bulb size is different as well as some of the specs. Jim was kind of frustrated by that - he really likes these lights and will have to investigate tonight online why they are different.
He continued working on getting things ready, which involved making all these mounting blocks for the conduit - you can see the wood blocks are beveled, everything has to be predrilled and the steel cut and attached.
Even though he didn't get these new ones attached, this is a reminder of the end product...
Jim knocked off a bit early and headed to Lowe's at the end of the day to pick up more wood for blocking as well as some electric parts.
