11.9.2016

It was a little rainy in the morning but it was supposed to clear up as the afternoon wore on...but by lunchtime it was still drizzly on and off.  So Jim made the decision to continue doing electric work today.  Being out on the west wall standing on a slick roof and wet planks just isn't smart, no matter how anxious we were to keep working.  Jim got more angle courses cut, primed and painted so we'll be ready to go!

Meanwhile, he just concentrated on electric work.  He got the ground wire connected to our grounding rod that we installed in the concrete way back when.  You can see how he made a steel frame and put a grommet in to keep everything neat and in place.

Working on the subpanel box in the downstairs shop...

Jim worked in the stairwell too, mounting another light fixture and getting outlets in.

Jim also worked on tracking down our contact from Time Warner Cable - we need to get them to come out and run the cable from the box in our trench that will bring the main electric into the carriage house.  Hopefully we have the right phone number now and we'll get that going.
