Jim used some of that dirt to do a little more grading near the house - how good does that look?
The first siding tasks were to work on more step flashing. He's basically up close to the top now.
This area is so difficult - Jim has to totally try and work behind the scaffolding that is on the peak of this roof. He'll get himself all tucked in and the siding on the wall and then realize that he left a tool at the end of the plank and has to disentangle himself. Plus, you can see how close the scaffolding parts are to the house - so there is no room to swing a hammer or use the driver. Lots and lots of challenges!
To make things a little easier, Jim started predrilling the small angle pieces. He had one break yesterday when he put a screw in because of the angle and then we have to start the whole prime/paint process all over again, which delays things. Predrilling these smaller pieces worked out much better.
Finally out from under the scaffolding and going down the row...
Cutting the angle for underneath the rafter - good progress! These angles don't need painted because they tuck underneath the trim boards as well as have trim on top.
End-of-the-day picture...getting close to being under the window!
