11.18.2016

Jim got the beginning flashing and starter strip made for the top of the window and then got everything installed.

After he built up the sides of the window, it was time for the final piece of flashing.

Predrilling some of the smaller pieces under the rake...

We were just getting going again after lunch and the bigger air compressor wouldn't turn on.  Jim had a big one in Ohio that we sold and a new one is on the agenda, but it goes in the downstairs shop and he's not ready for it yet.  He has an intermediate one that has been working okay - until today.  So he got out his portable one but it had been acting temperamentally too.  Just figures!  But Jim got the smaller one working good enough.  After work today, he investigated more on the other compressor and thinks it's the motor.  No time to fix it or worry about it now.

While the sun was shining bright, Jim took some time to catch up on painting.  We need to get all painting done by tomorrow because it appears that will be our last warm day.

It was kind of funny - we had two different neighbors stop by today just to see how things were going.  We continued to work up on high and chatted with them for awhile - no time for socializing!  But it was nice that they stopped.

So nice to be above the windows and now Jim is off the ladder which is a real blessing!

End-of-the-day picture....
