We had friends from Ohio stop at the house today. We haven't seen them in probably 15 years, so it was really nice to be able to spend some time together and show them the house and property. They had stayed for a couple days in Woodstock NY and came here before heading back home.
After they left, Jim got a call from the concrete company and they asked if they could come at 10:00 instead of 1:00, which is great news for us. Since it's cooler now, it will take longer for the concrete to set up and we might have had to do some work in the dark. This will be perfect.
Jim brought all the equipment up to oil the forms, so that the concrete won't stick and the forms will be easier to remove afterwards...

Once he got all those tools and equipment put away, he brought up the power trowel so it will be ready to go in the morning...
