Jim bought a couple new tools to help him make his jigs for cutting the steel so today was all about figuring all that out. Planing wood to an exact thickness...

This guide for the saw and the rails it glides along are new for this job - Jim had to make the jig and saw depth all work together...
Fastening down the rail so that everything stays in place...
He tried it out on a piece of cardboard - plus these will serve as templates. Everything seems to work - tomorrow he'll try it out on a piece of leftover steel siding from the pole barn.
