7.3.2024

Jim took a couple pictures yesterday of the guy setting up their machinery to make the steel roofing pieces that weren't included in the order when he picked up.  They did it from the back of the truck because they also install their products and need to be able to do things on site...

First piece coming out...

This morning, Jim brought the car and trailer up to the pavilion so we could unload everything.  These are the pieces and parts he loaded into the car - clips, drip edge, trim pieces, venting.

Then we carefully moved them from the trailer to around the pavilion.  You have to be extremely careful because ends and corners are razor sharp.

Unloading more pieces...

Emptying the car...

Showing me how the vent pieces will work...

At this point, once the trailer and car were unloaded, Jim drove the trailer back to turn it in.  Once he got home, it was time for lunch, but then we went back outside.  He had set up some sawhorses to hold the steel pieces.  They are wrapped in bundles of 7, so while they were heavy, they were manageable for us.  Once we got them in place, we removed the shrink wrap...

The wind could easily get under these and flip and scatter them, so Jim strapped them down to the planks...

Working with more sections underneath the pavilion...

We got them all set on sawhorses, unwrapped and strapped down.  Then Jim wanted to do some grass cutting before coming in to do his workout...

High 81.8/Low 57.6 - nice!
