Jim spent time this morning working on his email submittal to the chipper company, He took good pictures and gave a very detailed explanation of the connection issue.
Then he was back working on the small chainsaw today. He took the whole thing apart to give it a good cleaning...
He took casing parts outside, sprayed them with cleaner and hosed them off...
Filling up the bigger chainsaw and trimmer so that we could do a little more work in the woods...
Jim is cutting down the big tree branch that fell over the winter and landed in between trees. He had done enough to get it off the pine trees when we first saw it, but today he got it cut up.
Then we headed up to clear the area in the woods where Jim is going to make a top soil pile. He had a few small ugly trees to cut down and then we hauled them out to hopefully be chipped up soon.
I was gathering branches...
Cutting down this striped maple...
Just a little clearing made this space look great! Still have a few old things to haul out but this area will work perfectly.
We're still wondering if the wildflower seeds we planted in the fall will grow on this little slope. Hard to tell right now what's weeds and what could be flowers! But this little orange flower is the first hopeful bloom!
Jim did some grass cutting at the end of the day.
