6.1.2024

Our Ring camera went off at 5:30 this morning, alerting us that we had visitors...

Jim's having a little trouble with his smaller chainsaw, so he took it apart this morning to clean out the filter...

He got all the corner braces connection holes tapped.  Now that the chipper is here, he'll be able to get exact dimensions for his cart.

But he was able to tuck it into the pole barn nicely last night...

Until Jim can talk to the manufacturer, he's not going to use the chipper, but he hooked up the hydraulics today and ran it.  It runs very smoothly and it's quieter than the old one.

Jim and I worked in the woods doing more clean up today...

It's hard to see, but good news - the eggs in the nest in the lean to all hatched!  It looks like just a bunch of fluff with beaks!  We're happy they hatched; we were a little concerned that we had disturbed them.  Leaving the barn door open has allowed the mothers to get in, so all's well.

High 81.6/Low 51.2 - beautiful!
