6.13.2024

Jim ordered some new parts for his small chainsaw.  He got them installed and just ran it for a couple minutes; it seems to be running better.  Doing some chain sharpening...

Getting ready to do some welding on the chipper cart...

All welded together!

In the afternoon, we transitioned to outside work.  Jim had basically removed all the top soil so now it was time to fill in the low areas with the other dirt...

Starting to grade...

Continuing to move dirt...

He's built up quite a bit in this area and it's looking good!

Mom was doing some reading on the patio, but we brought her up the hill and back into the woods to see what we've been working on...

We're the first of only two houses on our section of street that falls within the town limits and it was listed in the town newsletter that they are planning roadwork this summer.  They do an amazing job on the roads here - we are always amazed.  But we discovered these markings today, probably by National Grid, so we're not quite sure what they mean, other than they are marking where the power lines are.

Now that the Belmont Stakes crowds have hopefully left the area, we thought we'd venture into Saratoga to our favorite eating spot tonight.

High 83.2/Low 49 - beautiful!
