6.16.2024

In our house today, we remember our dads that are no longer here with us, but also give a world of thanks to Jim for all he's done and continues to do for our family.  I love you, dear!

Today in the metal shop, Jim flipped over the chipper cart and cleaned the top side...

Then started painting...

All done and drying - looks fabulous!  Then it was time to clean the paint gun.

Jim unpacked the new attachment plate for the chipper today.  He measured it to make sure it will fit - he'll be trying it out this week for sure.

Moving it next to the chipper...

It was another gorgeous day, so we all headed outside in the afternoon.  Jim wanted to get the rest of the top soil moved to the pile, which meant cleaning up some big rocks...

Scooping up dirt...

Before he worked on the next swatch, he wanted to do a little metal detecting, to make sure we weren't covering up any treasures...

There were a couple places that were registering deep, so since the excavator was close by, he used it to dig the holes...

He found this chain.  When we first were walking the property, we found a trap in this location that hunters were using, so this is the remnants of that trap.

Starting to scrape off the top soil from the next area...

Digging up some big rocks.  Getting these rocks out is so much easier with the thumb on the excavator.

Jim continued scraping and moving dirt after we went in - pictures to come!

Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

High 73/Low 45.3 - gorgeous!
