8.23.2023

I left early this morning for some errands, including stopping at Home Depot for some caulk that Jim needed for the barn door.  Jim had computer work to do in the morning, as well as taking apart and cleaning the tile saw.  He had a nice set up in the shop that enabled him to use the wet saw without getting everything wet, but it's nice to get that out of his way now that the tile cutting is done.

In the afternoon, he headed out to the pavilion.  He got the big steel beam off the one side of the structure...

He did some measuring so that he could tweak the one brace - everything was pretty much spot on.

Jim did a little trimming of one of the tenons...

Then used the Bobcat to put everything back into place...

He's much happier with the fit now...

He did some initial measuring and marking of these secondary beams.  He'll get them cut on his next outside work day.

We wanted to get some more of the old insulated concrete forms out in the trash tomorrow, so we took the Bobcat back in the woods and started cutting it up...

A bucketful...

Jim filled up the trashcan as much as he could; we have some foam left for next week as well.

High 76.2/Low 53.6 - beautiful!
