Jim brought up some of his extra tile pieces today to see if any would fit...
Putting in the last angle piece!
Putting some tiny pieces around the light box...
Tile installation is all done - I love it!
Before continuing grading work, Jim wanted to do a little more metal detecting...
Some more big square nails and an old bolt...
I like this old nail shaped like a J!
Jim wanted to pull back a little more dirt on the sides to have a better slope...
Lots of rocks to pick out...
Then Jim used the Bobcat to back drag...
Then Jim went up to our stash and brought down some long runners to get ready for our timber delivery this evening...
Jim wants them to dump the timbers in the turnaround and he can sort and take from here...
Yesterday, I was doing some trimming and went to cut some old briars out of this area and encountered a huge nest. All kinds of bees came swarming out at me - I got a couple stings but they didn't cause any issues. So Jim wanted to get rid of the nest. Not sure if you can see it in here - it's very thin, white and a huge ball...
Jim used the bucket to smash the nest...
The bees were swarming - we thought it looked like a hornet nest but the bees were small. Jim sprayed the area as well...
Jim got all his tools and equipment put away and then did some metal work until the timber delivery came...
There it is - lots of huge timbers!
He just rolls it off the truck...
The timbers and wood all look so nice and square. Jim covered the pile up a bit just to keep some water off for now.
We were lucky - the forecast kept moving the rain possibilities back and as I write this, still no rain. So we were able to get lots done and take delivery of the wood while it was nice.
