Today marks the fifth anniversary of our move into the carriage house! While it's hard to believe we've been here that long, in other ways it feels like it's always been our home. Looking forward to many more anniversaries of living here!
Jim went back to cleaning the tile today above the window...
Then all the careful taping in preparation for grout...
All ready to go!
We had thought we would get some rain today, but the forecast changed so Jim got all his tools and equipment up to the pavilion in the afternoon. He continued working on making the mortise pockets...

Jim brought up a brace to test and it fits perfectly as well...

Jim readjusted the platform location and got set up to do the other brace pockets...
We brought Mom out for a look at the progress...
Jim got one of the brace pockets all finished and just has to do the angle on the other one. Then it will be 8 of the 10 main pockets on the beams done!
