Jim continued working in the shop on prepping wood for the barn door...

After lunch, Jim went up to the top of the hill and brought down some big pieces of C channel steel...
He's going to use these as supports/safety beams to help him place the big timbers...
Measuring and marking the center point and where he wants to drill...
Repeating for the other side...
Moving the steel into place...

Continuing to put all the bolts in...
We've been wanting to get down to the bottom wall to do some cleanup. Today was the perfect day - it was cool and beautiful. Jim used the trimmer and I did a lot of yanking and using the shears! This picture counts as the before...
Here's the after. Not the best picture to show all the work but it looks much better!
Jim re-found the property pin too...
Hard to believe it's August - plus the weather is just gorgeous!
