5.23.2022

I had a doctor appointment this morning and Mom came along; we ran grocery store errands afterwards.

Jim had his project management hat on most of the day.  He took his plans for the pole barn lean-to to the building department.  Unfortunately, it wasn't real satisfactory.  They told him there's a new requirement for Worker's Compensation - he had to come out, print out a form from the State saying he was doing the work himself, and take it back to the building department.  The inspector said he would try to get to it within a couple of weeks - yikes!

After lunch, he got a call saying that the glass he had ordered for the wood shop bathroom cabinets was in, so he went and picked that up.

He put the glass shelves in the medicine cabinet...

Unfortunately, things are never real easy when other people are involved, it seems.  Even though the quote and sales receipt said that the mirror pieces should be 18-1/2", when Jim unwrapped them, they were actually 23-5/8".  I called them and they said we could bring them back in and they would cut while we waited.  Just another trip.

But he got the seeded glasss installed in the entertainment cabinet doors and it's beautiful!

Both doors installed - that cabinet is done and looks great!  Plus, all our electronic equipment is safely tucked away, free from dust.

Jim did some planing and wood prep for the base cabinet pieces...

High 66/Low 45 - beautiful!
