Mom and I took the mirrored glass back to the glass shop this morning - they cut it right away to the right size. Then we headed to the dentist for her follow-up appointment.
Once we got home with the glass, Jim tried it out to make sure it was right...
He also put the magnetic catches on the top of the cabinet. Going to be beautiful!
We headed back outside in the afternoon - it was another gorgeous day. Jim wants to get this top area cleared and in good shape. He brought the forks up and picked up some of the stacked logs...
He cut off the ends that are not in great shape and cut the middle pieces for later splitting...
Loading up the old pieces into the bucket...
Then we went back into the deep woods to do a little clearing of some of the scrub trees in the pathway...

Then we went to the end of the driveway to do a little clearing down there. Mom had been sitting at the patio while we were working but we brought her down below to watch...
This was the before shot - these were the trees that had fallen and crushed other trees. Jim had moved a lot of it out of the way but didn't like the way it still looked...

You see this area when you pull in the driveway so now it looks much nicer.
Jim has been struggling to find an area around the house to put the temperature sensor. No matter where he puts it, it eventually sees sunshine and just a few minutes can raise the temperature by as much as 30°! Today he built a 3-sided box for it and hung it back in the tree. So far, so good!
