Jim continued working on the computer this morning for building permit drawings. Then he continued his screen cleaning by taking one of the kitchen window screens out and spraying it off. Even though it's been dry, Jim cut the grass on the sides of the driveway where the lawn is definitely more plush.
In the afternoon, we went out to do some basic elevation and house site thoughts. You can see Mom in the shade of the trees while we talked placement...
Setting up the tripod for the laser level...
Taking measurements... This gave Jim some basic info to think about as far as placement for extending the driveway. It was so fun just to think about all the possibilities!
While these logs probably aren't in the way right now, Jim would like to get them cut at some point.
So a good time to try out his new lumberjack tool - it's supposed to allow you to roll the log over and then keep it jacked up so you can more easily cut. But our logs are big and meaty and it took a lot of force to do. Jim's not real happy with this tool - he may modify it to have a longer handle and tighter connections.
But it worked and he was able to get a couple chopped into sections...
