Now that Jim knows he has to get a building permit for the pole barn lean to, he has to put together a drawing package, so he's been working on that in the mornings.

In the shop, he did some prep work for painting the door frame pieces.  These are done differently because they are going to have glass inside.

Another gorgeous day, so we all headed outside in the afternoon.  Jim brought up another load of dirt...

Started spreading and getting any rocks out...

Load two...

Grading...

I got as much grass seed as we had left spread and then a final sweep of the driveway...

This area really looks beautiful now!

After that landscaping work was done, we headed up to the top of the hill.  This is all the rock/dirt pile left as of now.  Jim and I talked through a general thought process of where we would like the house to be if we decide to build, and what we need to do to prepare.  Our first step is to move this dirt pile.

Jim back dragged parts of the pile and we picked out the rocks...

Then he was able to scoop up dirt.  We decided to stage the dirt at the side of the property where it will be out of the way.

Then we kept repeating that cycle...

We ended up with just a small dirt pile that Jim compiled - we'll hopefully get that taken care of tomorrow...
