Happy Armed Forces Day!  Always so proud of Jim and both our dads for their service to our country - and to all the rest of those who have served in the military!

After working on the computer this morning, Jim headed down to the shop - glued up a couple pieces of wood for the bathroom cabinet...

Painted the end and food of his modified lumberjack tool...

Then he put all the hardware on the door frames for the entertainment and medicine cabinets and got everything installed and fit.  They still need glass and mirrors but this part will be all done with the glass comes in.  I love the way this looks!

There's never a lot of time on Saturdays because of church, but Jim wanted to uncover the log splitter and see what kind of state it was in.  It hasn't been used since Ohio!

Getting the hydraulic lines hooked up...

Some of these logs are so enormous that they would be impossible to lift up and put on the splitter when it's horizontal, so Jim tried it out vertically...

Jim cut these big ones into quarters and then switched the splitter to the horizontal mode. 

I got to take over and do the splitting into smaller pieces...

Jim got the rest of the big ones quartered and the splitter tucked into the woods before coming in.
