Mom and I headed into Saratoga today - we picked up another 50 lb bag of grass seed and did some grocery errands.

Jim had taken all the screens out of the windows in the back of the house and gave them a good cleaning.  After lunch, he did the west wall windows as well - we'll be putting them all back in place when the sun goes down a bit more.

Jim also did some trimming in the afternoon...

He got this area behind the pole barn all trimmed...

He also had to go get more diesel fuel and then put together a new tool he bought - this will help flip big logs over so that he can more easily use his chainsaw to cut them.  That project is in our near future as we try and clean the top part of the lot just so we can start thinking about house placement options.

After our work yesterday, this was all that was left of our dirt pile - time to move it...

We're staging the dirt at the side of the woods...

You can see our rock pile, dirt pile and a clean top of the property!

We have some big, mostly rotten logs that we need to move (picture above with Jim trying out his tool!).  We figured for now, we would stash them back in the woods.  Jim wanted to be able to get the Bobcat back behind the shed so a couple of these ugly trees had to go...

Now Jim can drive the Bobcat back...

And back...

There were a few downed trees that Jim pushed back and there was also this big dead tree that was swaying...

Jim pushed it down with the bucket...

Cutting up old plywood to put in the trash...

We like our little temperature sensor, but it's been registering temps warmer than actual temps.  It's hard to find a place that doesn't see sun at some point during the day.  He moved it this morning and it went down 10° - however, when the sun hit that spot about 4:00, it went up to 120°!  He moved it into a tree so we'll try it there for awhile.
