Jim had to start the day at the DMV to get his driver's license renewed. With the new requirements to get a Real ID license, it takes a lot of paperwork to prove your identity as well as your address. Since licenses here are good for 8 years, we wanted our new address on them - which requires even more paperwork and a nice clerk to approve it! Thankfully, Jim got his okayed and headed home to pack up before heading to the property.
A picture of our new sign post with address marked out for security reasons. It looks really nice by the side of the road, even though I'll kind of miss our old piece of wood with orange house numbers painted on it that we used to stick out when we were expecting deliveries!
Jim brought in the salt container for the water softener and started looking into what parts he needs to hook it up.
I did some parts pick up for Jim this morning, going to Home Depot, Lowe's and a hardware store in Saratoga Springs that carried a special vapor barrier drywall primer that Jim wants to use in the bathroom. When I dropped everything off, I got to see how good the living room looks now that it's all painted.
And the bathroom and laundry room look great - Jim worked on plastering all afternoon in these areas. The bathroom especially has so many complicated corners and tight places that makes this challenging. But by the end of the day, he is getting pretty close to finishing them up!
