6.17.2016 - Main Roof is Done!!

It was definitely a red letter day - but one with a few bumps in the road.

Jim got up early this morning with what is an apparent kidney stone issue.  Unbeknownst to me, he had one a couple of weeks ago too.  But I knew something was wrong with him this morning - although Jim never complains.  We were going to do roof work this morning while it was cooler and then I had some errands to do.  Jim suggested I do my errands in the morning and he would wait on the roof work because he wasn't feeling great.  When I got to the property, he was really hurting.  I called and got him an appointment with the physician's assistant at the doctor's office.  Of course, by the time of the appointment, he was feeling much better.  He has to have blood work done Monday morning and see the doctor again Tuesday.  He started feeling a bit achy once we got home but then felt pretty good.

Good enough to get back on the roof!  Starting the last ridge vent and ridge shingles for the main roof...

Nailing the last shingle into place!

HUGE thumbs up - having this roof done is an amazing accomplishment as well as such a big relief.  No more worries when rain is in the forecast!  And no more worries of Jim working so very high up in the air (well, at least for awhile!).

The finished roof!
