It was a drizzly start to the day and we reached our peak temperature of the day fairly early - it got sunny before lunch but was windy. With the falling temperatures, made it pretty chilly. We'll take it though - the forecast is for 3-6" of snow tomorrow evening into Wednesday! Speaking of snow, in the paper over the weekend, our snowfall for the season has only been 10.3". Really incredible for Upstate New York! We have definitely been blessed this year - however, it's still been winter. No matter what, it gets really cold working outside all day long.
Since it was drizzly in the morning, Jim did some inside work. He first put up some steel pieces that he will use to eventually fasten drywall - another one of those have to plan ahead tasks.
Then he ran some more wire to power some boxes on the side wall.
After lunch, we started working on sheathing again. Here Jim is fastening down the straight edge he uses as a guide to cut the angles.

Now that Jim is up on the roof, he's able to finish the last of the fasteners on the hip rafter.
Then he pulled the piece of sheathing up and into place...

After Jim got the top piece fastened, he got out the flashing tape and taped over the seams between courses to keep the water out until we can get underlayment on.
All the sheathing is done on the back!
I hadn't been up since Jim got the roof structure all built - it's a really cool space now!

Jim had to put up another section of scaffolding on the front side.
First step for sheathing the front wall means cutting the angle for connecting all the tail pieces.

Once the angle was on, time for the first piece of sheathing!

As always, it's my job to get the measurements marked on the sheathing, the cutting lines set, and all the screw points marked.
